The 2021 JSPS ACN virtual social event

Dear members of the JSPS alumni club Norway,
we hope that during this protracted pandemic you and your family are in good health and spirit.
COVID-19 has significantly impacted our club networking over the previous months and the ACN board is looking for ways to rekindle our activities. Thus it is our pleasure to invite all of you to join the JSPS ACN 2021 virtual social event, taking place on April 15th 2021 on the wonder.me platform. (For an optimal experience please make sure that you access the platform via the Chrome browser.)
With several new members having joined the club in 2020, we are looking forward to building new connections and to interesting conversations in a relaxed atmosphere. To facilitate exchange, we are planning to assign each of the registered participants to one of several randomly selected groups ( balanced only by country and gender, which is why we kindly ask you to provide this information during the registration process ).
After a brief welcome we will convene for a first 30 minutes meet-up in the random groups, changing to new groups for a second 30 minutes meet-up afterward. After the brief closing you are welcome to stay on in the virtual environment and catch up with old and hopefully new acquaintances.
Each registered participant will receive their group assignments before the social event via email. Registration remains open until one week before the even, i.e. until April 8th. (In order to avoid cyber vandalism, we ask for an email confirmation during the registration process and will send out the meeting link only to registered participants.)
