Description
The increasing demand for sustainable and green hydrogen production requires efficient technologies for direct seawater electrolysis. The direct seawater electrolysis allows for a real and ideal re-definition of green hydrogen production, since seawater is a by-definition renewable hydrogen source. In this paper, efficient hydrogen production is demonstrated with reduced energy demands, due to the presence of magnetic field, allowing for the generation of Lorentz forces that aid the faster transportation of ions. Furthermore, the developed byproduct is ClO2 solution that is a superior disinfectant for ballast water treatment, thus making sustainable such production.
