THE EVENT IS POSTPONED TO A TO-BE-DECIDED DATE

Scandinavia has a great potential in terms of science knowledge, computing power and technology development. This potential, if properly conveyed, can lead Scandinavia to become a key actor in the LISA mission and play a major role in the (guaranteed) discoveries that this experiment will achieve.

This meeting is planned to be the first of a series of events aimed at building a concrete strategy for the forthcoming years. The goal of this first event is:

  • to consolidate and broaden the LISA community in Scandinavia

  • to explain and discuss the timeline and scientific/technological challenges of the LISA mission

  • to identify the LISA tasks that fit best the Scandinavian potential

  • to explore partnerships among fundamental science, data science and technology centers in Scandinavia

The first part of the event will be mostly dedicated to the gravitational wave science that may be probed by LISA. The second part will focus on the organizational aspects.

We invite everybody potentially interested in strengthening the Scandinavian involvement in LISA to participate, register and submit an abstract.
